Explorer Terms

1. Platform Role

LaneSeek provides access to career simulations and 1:1 conversations with professionals for the purpose of career exploration. We are a platform, not a career advisory service.

2. Payments

• •Sessions are authorized at the time of booking — your card is not charged immediately.
• •Charges occur after session completion or in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

3. Free Sessions

Some professionals choose to offer complimentary free sessions at their own discretion. When available, this is highlighted on their profile. Free sessions are limited to one per explorer every three months. Free sessions follow the same cancellation and settlement policies as paid sessions, except no charge applies and no payment is processed.

4. Cancellation Policy

• •Free cancellation up to 12 hours before your scheduled session.
• •Cancellations made by the explorer within 12 hours of the session are subject to a 50% fee.
• •Rescheduled sessions are not subject to any cancellation fee, regardless of timing.
• •If a professional cancels, no fee applies and you will receive a full refund.
• •Exceptions to the 50% fee are at the professional's discretion.

5. Session Settlement

• •After your session ends, you have 24 hours to confirm it happened or file a dispute.
• •If both you and the professional confirm completion, payment is captured immediately.
• •If either party confirms and the other doesn't, payment is automatically captured 24 hours after the session (silence is agreement).
• •You can file a dispute within 24 hours if there was an issue. Disputes freeze payment and notify our admin team for manual review.
• •If the video room was never accessed by either party, your payment hold is automatically released (full refund).

6. No-Shows

Failure to attend a confirmed session without cancellation is treated as a late cancellation and the 50% fee applies.

7. Refunds

Refunds are issued at LaneSeek's discretion based on the circumstances and our cancellation policy. To request a refund, contact us directly.

8. Use of Platform

Users agree to use the platform respectfully and not misuse services, harass professionals, or attempt to circumvent LaneSeek's platform for off-platform transactions.

9. Limitation of Liability

LaneSeek does not guarantee specific career outcomes from conversations or simulations. Content shared by professionals represents their personal experience and perspective.
